 Barnes Jewish Hospital

Volunteers at Barnes will be asked to support the department you are placed in. If you are accepted into the year-round Teen Program, you must commit to serving 105 hours; the summer program is separate. All applications are found on their website. Tasks may include stocking supplies, creating welcome folders, and even assisting with secretary duties.

Delmar Gardens is the perfect opportunity for volunteers interested in helping out in the activities department in a healthcare setting. Tasks will include assisting activities staff set up for entertainment daily, delivering mail, transporting residents, and more. Volunteers will also receive the chance to conduct one on ones with residents per the occasion. Stepping in for entertainment may also invite volunteers to share singing, dancing, and other talent!

Volunteers interested in Newborns in Need are welcome to join the nearest chapter! There are a few in St. Louis. You may be asked to sort baby items, bags, tags and make deliveries when needed. Volunteers are also needed to knit, crochet, sew, and quilt items needed for the babies.This will help your chapter create Newborn Immediate Need Kits!

Nurses for Newborns

Volunteers sort and match clothing, date food, bag diapers, check and clean baby toys and equipment. There will be events throughout the year where they need volunteers to assist with setup, registration, general assistance and breakdown. An annual volunteer driven fundraiser is wrapping gifts for donations at Plaza Frontenac during between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
